FIRSTavenue hires Caroline Weir as Chief Financial Officer

LONDON / NEW YORK - FIRSTavenue, a leading global private funds placement agent and investment advisory firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Caroline Weir to the team as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Weir will lead the firm’s financial function across its five offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Hong Kong and Sydney.

Caroline has 17 years of experience within the asset management industry.  Prior to joining First Avenue, she was a partner within the NewSmith Group and was responsible for financial control, tax and regulatory matters for both corporate and fund entities.  Before joining NewSmith, Caroline spent 4 years working with Ernst & Young, London and 2 years with Ernst & Young, Jersey in their Investment Management Group. Caroline qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999 with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
